Mr. Angelo Ranasinghe

Currently serving as an Executive Director at Bartleet Religare Securities (Pvt) Ltd. He holds more than 18 years of experience in the capital market industry of Sri Lanka and has also served in Mackwoods Limited as a Group Business/Financial Analyst (1999-2003) and at Bartleet Mallory Stockbrokers (Pvt) Ltd as a Research Analyst (1997-1999). Mr. Ranasinghe holds an MBA from Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM) and a B.Sc. in Management from University of Sri Jayewardenepura and he also holds the designation ACMA.

Ms. Bimanee Meepagala

Currently functions as the Chief Bancassurance Officer of Union Assurance PLC having over 15 years of experience in capital markets. She has served as a Vice President at NDB Wealth Management Ltd and a Research Analyst at Lanka Securities (Pvt) Ltd prior to joining Union Assurance PLC. Her academic and professional exposure encompasses economics, investments, capital markets, risk and finance. She holds an MA in Financial Economics and a BA from University of Colombo. She also holds the designations FCMA and CGMA.

Ms. Meepagala serves as a resource person for Certificate in Capital Markets (CCM), Diploma in Capital Markets (DCM) and Program in Investing and lectures the following modules:
· Capital Market Theory Basics
· Technical Analysis
· Investing in Debt Instruments
· Capital Structure
· Asset Classes

Mr. Don Barnabas

An experienced financial professional and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICRA Lanka. Prior to joining ICRA Lanka, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC, the Chief Executive Officer / Director of NDB Housing Bank Ltd and the Chief Executive Officer / Director of Maldives Finance Leasing Company Ltd. He possesses strong analytical and credit skills, with a history of delivering innovative financial solutions. He holds an MBA from University of Colombo and a B.Sc. in Physics from Madras University.

Mr. Daham Gunasena

An industry professional with over 18 years of progressive business experience specialized in finance and supply chain. He serves as the General Manager – Finance at Ceylon Biscuits Limited. Prior to joining CBL, he has served as the Financial Controller/ Head of Supply Chain and Operations Finance at Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and Financial Controller at Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC and Coca-Cola Beverages Lanka Limited. He is a member of the lecturing panel at Institute for Accounting Studies (IAS) and a member of Young Members Association – Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. He possesses an MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management and a B.Sc. in Accountancy from University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He also holds the designations CIA, MAAT, FCA, ICMASL, ACMA and CGMA.

Mr. D. P. Nandana

An experienced finance and accounting professional who has more than 10 years of lecturing experience, currently serving as a visiting lecturer at University of Colombo, University of Technology in Sydney Australia and University of Middlesex UK. Mr. Nandana is currently reading for a LL.B at University of London and holds an MBA in Finance from University of Southern Queensland, Australia, a PGDip in Financial & Business Administration from Cranfield Business School, UK and a BBA in Financial Management from University of Colombo. Apart from that he also holds the designations CPA (Aust.), ACMA, CGMA & PMP (PMI – USA).

Mr. Isuru Somaratne

Serving as the Head / Senior Economist Money and Banking Division in the Economic Research Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for more than 5 years. He has joined the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 2007. Prior to his post graduate studies, he was attached to Payments and Settlements Department. Before joining the Central Bank, he has worked at the National Savings Bank. He holds a MA in Applied Economics from University of Cincinnati, USA and a BA in Economics from University of Peradeniya.

Mr. Janaka Edirisinghe

Serving as the Head / Senior Economist Money and Banking Division in the Economic Research Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for more than 5 years. He has joined the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 2007. Prior to his post graduate studies, he was attached to Payments and Settlements Department. Before joining the Central Bank, he has worked at the National Savings Bank. He holds a MA in Applied Economics from University of Cincinnati, USA and a BA in Economics from University of Peradeniya.

Mr. Nishantha Jayaweera

A specialist in risk management, portfolio management, reserve management, treasury management and investment in international financial markets. Currently Mr. Jayaweera is leading the Financial Risk Management Team of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka designated as the Deputy Director of the Risk Management Department. He has held many positions in Central bank and possess over 15 years of experience. Before taking up the position at the Central Bank he has served as a Probationary Lecturer at University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He holds an M.Sc. in Financial Economics from University of Birmingham, a PGDip in Computer Science from University of Colombo School of Computing and a B.Sc. in Statistics from University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Apart from that, he possesses the ACI Dealing Certificate from The Financial Market Association, France and is currently reading for FRM. He is also a CFA Charter holder

Mr. Shadhir Jannath

Currently functions as the Assistant Manager – Research/Technical Analysis at Candor Holdings Ltd and is specialized in Technical Analysis Trading Strategies.  Earlier he was a Senior Executive – Margin Trading/Accounts at Bartleet Finance PLC. He has over a decade of experience in Capital Markets and he also engaged in lecturing for more than 5 years. He holds the designations of ACMA and CGMA.

Mr. Renuke Wijayawardhane

Mr. Wijayawardhane counts over 27 years of service at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and is currently serving as the Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO). As the CRO, Renuke is responsible to provide strategic leadership relating to the overall regulatory functions of the CSE. This includes the overall Supervision of the Regulatory Divisions of the CSE, namely, Regulatory Policy, Listing, Broker Supervision, Trading Operations & Market Surveillance and Corporate Affairs Divisions. He is also responsible regarding the rule making process of the CSE and implementation of new products. Renuke is an Attorney-at-Law and holds a LL.B. from the University of Colombo.

Ms. Renu Ranatunge

Ms. Ranatunge was responsible for the establishment of the Legal Division of Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) in 2006 and functions as Head of Legal, being in the Senior Management of the CSE. She also functions as a member of CSE Listings Review Committee, CSE IT Steering Committee, CSE Sponsor Review Committee and a Member of Investor Grievance Handling Panel of the CSE. Ms. Ranatunge is an Attorney at Law and Notary Public with experience over 23 years and holds a LL.M. from University of Cambridge (UK). She started her career as a Legal Counsel attached to the Chambers of Mr. L. C. Seneviratne, PC and worked at the law firms M/s. Julius & Creasy and M/s. Paul Ratnayeke Associates, prior to joining the CSE. She is also an alumni of Sri Lanka Law College and a Life Member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL).

Mr. Raguram Raamakrishnan

Mr. Raguram currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President at CAL Investments Ltd. He was awarded “Bronze” for producing “Best Equity Research Report” in 2018 and also an integral part of the Research Team which had been among the “Best Research Teams in Sri Lanka” in 2016 and 2017 at the CFA Sri Lanka Capital Market Awards. Raguram has more than 9 years of experience in Sri Lanka capital markets, predominantly in Equity Research, out of which more than 2 years were from a Big Four advisory firm. He holds a B. A. (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the London Metropolitan University and a passed finalist of CIMA UK and is currently a Level 3 candidate in CFA. He is a resource personnel and a visiting lecturer at Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) – Sri Lanka, for their Capital Markets related training and educational activities.

Ms. Nilooka Dissanayake

An experienced Leadership, Management and Personal Development Trainer who specializes in Personal Finance. She has worked at BDO Burah Hathy and PwC in Colombo and Wellington, New Zealand. After a stint as the first Corporate Planning Manager at Brown & Company, she became the Managing Editor and Managing Director of Athwela Vyaparika Sangarawa, Sri Lanka’s first Sinhala business journal. She holds an MBA from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and also holds the designation ACMA. Currently she works as a freelance trainer and ghostwriter.

Mr. Nayana Wijethunga

Currently serving as an Assistant Manager at the Colombo Stock Exchange with more than 10 years of experience. Having come from a multi-disciplinary background, he has also served in DFCC Vardhana Bank, MAS Holdings and has participated in the International Program on Capital Market Operations at BSC Institute Limited. He is an industry professional who possesses an M.Sc. in Finance and Management from University of Keele, UK and a B.Sc. in Statistics from University of Colombo. He holds the designation ACMA and has completed level 1 in CFA.

Mr. Pathmanathan Asokan

An industry expert with more than 19 years of experience in the Unit Trust Industry and more than 30 years of experience in Foreign Exchange & Treasury Operations, Banking, Stock Broking and Fund Management. He has served as a National Expert on an ADB Project on Capital Market Development and as a Consultant to the SEC. Prior to that he was the Director/CEO of Comtrust Asset Management (Pvt) Ltd. He has also served in a number of senior positions in, Commercial Stock Brokers (Pvt) Ltd, Seylan Bank PLC and Banque Indosuez. He was also the President of the Unit Trust Association of Sri Lanka for the period 2012 to 2016.

Mr. Sanka Silva​

Mr. Sanka Silva is a visiting lecturer at Jayasekara Management Centre (JMC) and Business Management School (BMS). He holds an M.Sc. in Applied Finance and a B.Sc. in Finance from University of Sri Jayewardenepura. In addition, he also possesses Post Graduate Executive Diploma in Bank Management, Diploma in Banking and Financing and part qualification in CA, Sri Lanka.

Mr. Sanjeewa Fernando

Mr. Fernando is a market practitioner plus a lecturer in the areas of financial markets, banking and risk management. He possesses over 18 years’ experience in the banking sector and investment management field as a former officer of Central Bank of Sri Lanka and DFCC Bank. In parallel, he carries over 11 years of experience as a visiting lecturer in the disciplines of financial markets, bank management and risk management. He has served as a resource person for programmes conducted by Centre for Banking Studies – Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Bankers’ Institute of Sri Lanka and University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Currently, he a visiting lecturer in Saegis Campus for MBA and MSc, Department of Finance – University of Kelaniya and Asia International Academy for CFA students. He is the Group Chief Financial Officer at EZI Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and EZI Packaging (Pvt) Ltd. He holds a B.B. Mgt (Accountancy)Sp degree from University of Kelaniya and became a CFA Charter holder in 2006.

Ms. Vindhya Jayasekara

Ms. Jayasekara currently heads the Asset Management Division as the Vice President – Asset Management, at NDB Wealth Management Limited. She also has a total exposure of over 17 years within NDB Group and prior to serving in the Asset Management Division of NDB Wealth, she worked at NDB Investment Bank within the Product Development and Corporate Advisory Divisions. She holds an M.Sc. in Finance from University of Illinois and a BSc (Eng) – Civil Engineering Degree with first class honors from University of Moratuwa. She also holds the designations FRM certified by GARP, ACMA and she is a CFA Charter holder.
